We recommend all Palestinian Refugees who wish to obtain new travel document, to present their applications at least four months before the expiry date of their travel document. These applications are regularly sent to Lebanon by the diplomatic pouch. The process via diplomatic pouch takes between three and six months, if the applicant choses the express service the process takes between four and eight weeks.

The presence of the applicant for a new passport at the Embassy is mandatory.

The following requirements may be completed in person at the embassy to obtain a new Biometric passport:

  • Fill out a Palestinian Travel Document Application

  •  In case of loss/theft of the Palestinian Travel Document, the holder should provide a police report and a copy of the lost/stolen Travel Document, if available, and fill out the following form: Lost Travel Document Application

  • ​Two copies of:

    • The current Palestinian Travel Document.

    • The identity card of Palestinian Refugees, issued by the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities, General Directorate of the Political Affairs of Refugees, or a copy of an individual extract of civil status which date of issuance does not exceed three years.

    • The UK/Irish Residence Permit or Passport.

    • UNRWA card (new version).

  • One recent colour passport-photo with a white background (size length 4.3cm x width 3.5cm) showing full details of the face.

  • Printed DHL file (Only in case of express service: https://fasttracklb.dhl.com)

  • Official card issued by a professional syndicate or by a Lebanese official institute if the applicant wishes to add the profession on the passport .

  • Consular fees: (Cash payment or postal order only)

    • Five years: £215.00 (Palestinians registered at UNRWA)

    • Three years: £129.00 (Palestinians not registered a UNRWA).

Notes:

  • Both parents should be present in person at the Embassy and sign a consent letter, authorizing the minor (under eighteen years old) to obtain a passport. In case of divorce, dissolution of marriage, abandonment or death, the legal guardian should present the valid tutelage in Lebanon in order to apply for a travel document for a minor.

  • The Embassy informs the applicant the arrival of his travel document from Lebanon.

  • If the travel document is not collected within a year, the Embassy will return the passport to the General Directorate of the General Security in Lebanon.
