Dear members of the Lebanese community in the United Kingdom and in Ireland, dear friends of Lebanon,

The past few days, in Lebanon, were unprecedented, both for the country and the health system, given the escalating Israeli aggression against Lebanon. The Lebanese Ministry of Public Health is responding to the escalating conflict by providing essential support to the thousands of people who were injured as Israeli airstrikes bombard their homes and communities. It is heavily invested in preparedness of hospitals and health facilities, including advance training on trauma management, which proved valuable following the wave of explosions earlier this week. Hence this urgent appeal: the Ministry of Public Health of Lebanon has identified two lists of medications and medical supplies that are urgently needed to meet the growing demands on the healthcare system in the country.
